Yup, yup….another baking session for me! I’ve always wanted to try muffins with crumb topping and since this recipe looks quite easy, I thought I’d give it a try. Turns out I don’t really like the topping as I find it too sweet. Well, the topping is made of butter, sugar and a little flour, but I just didn’t expect it to be that sweet.
Overall, this muffin is quite good and easy to make (the finished product might be deceiving and made people think you bought them ;p). Gave one to my col and here’s her detailed comment:
Texture – 95
Color – 90
Decorative – 85
Overall 90 marks…only 1 comment, I think you put too much “bicarbonate/ yeast” .. or banana essence ?
Actually there was no banana essence added, only bananas! But the recipe calls for both baking powder and soda bicarbonate, so that could be the reason for the comment.
